Founded in 1873, the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) is the oldest professional management organization serving career and volunteer chiefs, chief fire officers and managers of emergency services organizations. IAFC members are the decision-makers and leading experts in: fire fighting, emergency medical services, terrorism response, hazardous materials spills, natural disasters, search and rescue, and public safety legislation. IAFC provides a host of benefits to its members featuring a subscription to On Scene, a twice-monthly publication providing current fire and emergency news. Other benefits include educational seminars, workshops, conferences, lobbying, and much more. IAFC members spend between $170 to $215 in annual dues and are selectable by section (apparatus-maintenance, EMS, federal/military, fire & life safety, industrial fire & safety, volunteer), department type (career, volunteer, combination), and population served (0-9,999; 10,000-49,000; 50,000-99,999; 100,000-199,999; 200,000+).
