ABOUT: MGMA
Founded in 1926, the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) is the leading nationwide organization of medical group practices. Its membership list includes the managers and professionals who run more than 10,000 group practices, representing more than 200,000 physicians. MGMA’s members pay $355 in annual dues and spend more than $63 billion annually on goods and services to operate their practices.
MGMA’s goal is “..to improve the effectiveness of medical group practices and the knowledge and skills of the individuals who manage/lead them.” For this purpose, MGMA provides a certification program (the American College of Medical Practice Executives), conferences, committees, special interest groups, publications, training, public policy representation, local branches, and many other activities.
