Founded in 1982, the National Association for Home Care and Hospice (NAHC) is the largest trade organization representing home health care agencies, private businesses, hospitals, hospices and medical equipment companies. NAHC members are primarily administrators, aides, social workers and nurses who provide patient care in the home to recovering, disabled, or terminally ill persons. Most patients are in need of medical, nursing, social, or therapeutic treatment and need assistance with the essential activities of daily living. Home care gives patients the ability to live independently and makes institutionalization a last resort.
Members have purchasing authority for their patient’s various health needs along with products and services to run their own organization. NAHC members are selectable by individual name, medicare certified and section. See selects page for more details.
