Founded in 1942, the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) is the only major professional organization serving marriage and family therapists in the U.S. and abroad. Members are mental health professionals who are involved in the fastest growing mental health discipline - treating/diagnosing mental and emotional disorders & other health & behavioral problems in the family system.
