Founded in 1937, the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) is
dedicated to advancing the environmental health and protection professional for the purpose of providing a healthful environment for all. NEHA members are engaged in virtually all environmental health and protection areas including food protection, hazardous waste, onsite wastewater, air and water quality, epidemiology, chemical and bioterrorism preparedness, and management--primarily in the public sector.
NEHA members receive a bi-monthly subscription to the Journal of Environmental Health as well as the opportunity to take continuing education programs, special seminars and workshops. NEHA also administers certification programs for members in any one of the following disciplines: Certified Food Safety Professional, Environmental Health Specialist, Hazardous Substances Specialist, Environmental Technician, Radon Measurement and Mitigation.
